Libby

Libby Love has been practicing yoga since her teenage years. She earned her B.A. in business management with an emphasis in international marketing in 1995 from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she also studied ballet and modern dance. In 2003, Libby discovered Jivamukti yoga while living in New Orleans, USA.  She found that the yoga class felt similar to the experience of moving in dance, and was immediatley attracted.

While living in Kufstein, Austria, she continued practicing in Germany at the Jivamukti Center in Munich. Under the direction of her mentor, Petros Haffenrichter, and the founders of Jivamukti yoga, Sharon Gannon and David Life, she was certified as a Jivamukti yoga teacher in New York in May 2007.

In her classes, Libby caters to the possibilities of the students with a focus on alignment and Vinyasa yoga – a method of consciously connecting the breath with the movement of the body.  Her intent is for the student to work with their breath and intuition, focusing their inner strength to direct what their physical body can achieve. She teaches that the goal of yoga is to find the connectedness of the individual to all beings, and that, in so doing, one can realize strength and confidence through their practice and peace and happiness in their lives.

Libby feels perptelual gratitude to her teachers, Sharon Gannon, David Life, Petros Haffenrichter, and Yogeswari, and the students with whom she joins and learns from each time that she has the opportunity to share yoga.
